Financial Literacy in Public Libraries: A Guide for Building Collections: Books

This guide was created by the ALA Office of Research & Evaluation, and funded by the FINRA Investor Education Foundation. [New books added 12/8/2020]

Part I: Building a Collection

This collection includes items to help library patrons improve their personal finance knowledge and skills, while addressing key money decisions across the lifecycle. This collection emphasizes resources suitable for general (non-specialist) audiences seeking reliable, up-to-date information across a range of everyday financial topics. Books were selected based on WorldCat holdings, reviews, authority and date of publication. eBooks and audio books were selected on the same criteria as print books.
